Interbranch engineering center "Composites of Russia" of Bauman MSTU conducts advanced training of engineering staff
The transition of all activities to online is a productive approach and 2020 showed it. If we introduce the advanced formats into an educational program, our educative process will retain efficiency online as well.

Interbranch engineering center "Composites of Russia" BMSTU suggests a lifelong learning concept of engineer training. It implies infancy, school, and also higher and postgraduate education or qualification courses. Such an "enclosed education cycle" enables high-demand engineer training.
There is a dense competition in the engineer labor market. Industrial companies, which are business partners of "Composites of Russia", pay special attention to our students. They practice on real industrial cases and are provided with feedback from accomplished specialists.

The experience increases interest and motivation in engineering science.

Starting with childhood education, "Inginirium BMSTU" conducts not only classroom activities but also online-workshops, engineering online-camps, and VR- labs.

Thus, "Composites of Russia" has created a virtual lab for new construction materials. You can put on VR-glasses or install the desktop-program and create a product using new materials by means of vacuum infusion. The virtual lab operates in two modes. There is training that implies OS-powered clues, and there is a competition that is all about the display of one's skills and capabilities. Virtual lab monitors how much fabric was cut and binder used. Moreover, it carries out strength test of the product too.

According to the Yandex Wordstat, the most popular courses among schoolchildren are robotics (10% of the market), programming (5%), and 3D-modeling (2,5%). If children can`t decide on a course they are welcome to try the "Young engineer course" (incl. online). It`s an exclusive curriculum developed by "Inginirium BMSTU" integrating the three courses into one.

Those are years of experience that stand for the efficacy of the "enclosed educational cycle" that has been further proven by many "Inginirium BMSTU" students' cases. Needless to say that most of them enter leading higher education institutions. 80 is an average score of the Unified State Examination of Inginirium both in physics and informatics. An extra vocational education contributes greatly to exam ratings and entrance to university, difficult subject areas mastery, and independent knowledge usage as well. Moreover, it enables them to acquire scientific and effective learning tools and develop a full inventor potential through focused and systematic teaching.

Schoolchildren enroll for specialized departments after completing their studies in "Inginirium BMSTU".
In cooperation with the Bauman Moscow State Technical University and Autonomous non-profit organization "University.2035" is planned:
  • qualification courses implementing personal digital certificates;
  • "Technology of artificial intelligence in digital materials science" qualification courses and other areas of collaboration.

"Demand for Inginirium graduates is higher because they can use knowledge independently and have deep knowledge of a particular field chosen by the student, for example of digital materials science industry. Living life to a full, student training is accompanied by a valuable experience acquired from technopark "Inginirium BMSTU» and IEC "Composites of Russia". If students decide to continue studies, they have a possibility to join master and then a Ph.D. course of "Industry of composites and Digital materials science". Learning takes place in IEC "Composites of Russia" BMSTU," Margarita Stoyanova, the deputy Chief of "Composites of Russia", notes.

That allows young professionals to enter the labor market without any hindrances and to be sure of their own necessity. Industrial companies hire skilled employees who don't need specialized training and adapt to industry demands rapidly.

"Recently, ideas of a data storage system, Big Data, artificial intelligence, and business analytics were of particular interest. We plan to develop and introduce 9 new educational programs during the current year, including "Entrepreneurship in the digital economy: from ideas to implementation" together with the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and BMSTU program "Machine and deep learning, applied artificial intelligence and "Strong" Artificial Intelli- gence", Vladimir Nelyub, Chief of the IEC "Composites of Russia", said.

These programs were launched in 2020 in Educational Center BMSTU and they are of great interest.

The goal of "Entrepreneurship in the digital economy: from ideas to implementation" is to train specialists in the digital entrepreneurship industry within the national project called "Staff for the digital economy" by pooling resources of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Graduates get in-depth knowledge of trends, development prospects, e-governance, and study digital economy tools and technologies.

"Machine and deep learning, Applied artificial intelligence and "Strong" Artificial Intelligence" BMSTU program provides data on:
  • a modern approach to machine and deep learning, artificial intelligence;
  • usage of general artificial intelligence.
Data storage system and artificial intelligence lab operates within the IEC "Composites of Russia". The Lab develops the AI industry in general and an area of digital materials science and engineering software in particular. While studying industrial cases, course participants not only gain valuable experience but also take part in innovation development and discovery endeavors.
