Director of the Education Export Center Dmitry Nersesyan together with the head of the MAS agency Vimashan Sriyanka Vimalaganusekara visited the Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in Moscow to meet with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation, Professor Yanita Abivekrema Liyanage.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of the activities of the Education Export Center related to the development of academic relations between the two countries.
Professor Yanita A. Liyanage supports the Center's commitment to improving the quality of student career guidance by attracting more education consultants from the Republic of Sri Lanka to the free training program of the EEC.
"A few years ago, we launched a certification program for international educational consultants. Since then, we have done a lot of work on the search, selection and training of recruiters in many countries of the world. We have our own program, which involves several stages of preparation — from the verification of diplomas to the study of admission procedures to Russian universities, the specifics of life, study and career building in Russia. All this makes it possible to provide representatives of recruiting companies with the necessary knowledge base in order to competently promote Russian education in the markets of their countries. And we are certainly glad that we find support in this from the Sri Lankan Embassy, highly appreciate the trust placed in us and intend to meet the expectations," Dmitri Nersesyan said.
"Close humanitarian ties between our peoples create the basis for successful cooperation in all fields. We support young people who seek education in Russian educational institutions. We call on all Lankan children studying in Russia to actively interact with the embassy, participate in our cultural and social projects!", Ambassador Yanita Abivekrema Liyanaga said in turn.
