Promoting the international dialogue of cultures is one of the most important tasks facing modern international education today. The current political conditions require a timely response to emerging problems in the field of international education. To this end, the III International Scientific and Practical Conference "Dialogue of Cultures and Civilizations" was organized at the MSLU on April 14-16, 2022. Dmitri Nersesyan, CEO of the Education Export Center, delivered a report at the event.
During the conference, the issues of the historical foundations of the dialogue of cultures and civilizations, culture and identity in the modern world, the effectiveness and continuity of the domestic methodology of teaching foreign languages, as well as the significant role of non-governmental factors in the revival and strengthening of the international dialogue of cultures were covered comprehensively.
The conference was organized by the Institute of Humanities and Applied Sciences together with the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Scientific and Educational Theological Association NOTA.
Denis Borisovich Kravchenko, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, welcomed the guests and participants of the Plenary session. This speech aroused particular interest of the audience, as it concerned the most pressing problems of modern life in Russia. Later, Denis Borisovich noted in his Telegram channel: "MSLU is a new platform for me, the more interesting it was to see the lively interest of humanities students in all aspects of the domestic economy and industrial policy, seemingly far from their applied concerns. Congratulating young scientists, postgraduates and students, I noted the high level of intelligence and erudition, their active life position."
In modern conditions, the role and importance of people's diplomacy has increased, and it is to increase the effectiveness of our country's foreign policy activities. We cannot deny the fact that with the development and deeper penetration of information systems and technologies into our lives, the number of actors in international communication has increased many times. In these conditions, people's diplomacy becomes an important foreign policy resource, which is characterized by the highest dynamics of development.
